About CHARN

Community Health Access Research Network

We exist because the people closest to a health challenge are rarely the people in the room when decisions about it get made. CHARN closes that gap by collecting and sharing the data and insight that point to real solutions.

Our approach

Grassroots first. Data second. Conversation always.

We start with the providers and community members living the problem, listen to what they actually need, and then bring in the people who can build for it: startups, researchers, funders, and policymakers.

Community-first

We work from the ground up. The communities and providers we serve shape the questions we ask.

Any underserved community

We're starting in rural Virginia. The model applies anywhere a community has been left out of the conversation, rural, urban, or otherwise underserved.

No sales pitches

Every session we run is built to let people listen and discuss honestly first.

Our mark

Four pieces, one quilt square.

CHARN's work is piecing together a quilt square: providers, patients, startups, and funders each carry a piece of the picture, and the value comes from putting those pieces together.

Want to help shape what we build next?

We're early. If you're a provider, a startup, a patient, or an organization that wants to help, we want to hear from you.
